Newmains on wheels gang
Newmains on wheels is a community group to encourage socialising, fitness and gentle jaunts on your bike. You can find out about the weekly bike ride here.

What are we doing?
Connor and the NCT are teaming up to really boost cycling within Newmains and we really need the help of volunteering gang.

I'll be recruiting 4-6 dedicated volunteers who must be committed to getting Newmains out cycling during the week. Training will be provided by Connor the NCT and British Cycling. The accreditation will help you to lead rides in the local area and promote cycling alongside the rest of gang.

What's expected of our volunteer?

We're looking for both youth (16-21) and adult volunteers who love getting out cycling. You don't need to be super fit, super steezy or even fast but we need volunteers who are bike daft.

You'll need to be motivated, which means coming in for a mini interview. Once successful we'll need you to provide a minimum of 2 hours each week throughout the spring and summer over the next 3 years (obviously you'll get holidays and time out where applicable).
Initial introductions will take around 4 hours and cycle training will be a full day for which traveling expenses are covered.
We'll also expect you to be organised and pro-active bringing ideas to the table and helping to keep Newmains on Wheels. This may involve liaising with partner groups where appropriate so you'll get to know the wider cycling community.
Benefits include expert coaching and training, free cycle access, repairs and tea / coffee throughout the year.
