Cairney Cycles Proposal
Hi, Connor here. I'm bike daft and love living in Newmains. Over the past 5 years i've grown my business to do some amazing things across bicycle repair, learning classes, led rides and giving out bikes and cycle accessories to 1000's of customers across Lanarkshire.
Into 2026 and beyond Connor will work with Newmains Community Trust to develop a community owned bike shop that focuses on adding value for those being trained and the cycle industry as a whole. We will develop a training centre to work in partnership with New College Lanarkshire and create a sustainable pathway for mechanic education in Scotland.
There are two potential routes to achieve the vision and we would love to hear what you'd like to see and how we can create a community owned bike shop that works for Newmains.
